Summary
The story of Pocahontas is started when the Englishmen or White men ship to the land where Pocahontas and her Indian tribe live in. Those Englishmen leaded by captain Newport fellow by John Smith, Sir Edwin and other crews.
They just want to explore the new lands for the King of England. Otherwise, when the white men landed Sir Edwin was shot the hawk. Which that makes the Prince Kocoum was angry and feel against to those white men.
After Powhatan or the Indian chief notice the story, he asks Prince Kocoum to watch over them and a gift from those white men which should be the thunder stick (gun). But what the Prince got is silver cup not a guns so, he come back with an angry and tell the story to the chief. Prince Kocoum did not tell all truth but Princes Pocahontas was there too. She tells the truth to her father that those white men will visit the chief with there guns as a gift by themselves. John Smith and some crews were sent to the village but, along the way to the village they were attacked by the Prince Kocoum and his men. John Smith was a captive but the rest crews were killed.
Pocahontas and John Smith were falling in love since their first met. When Smith being a captive she try to help him from a capital punishment by claimed his life. As an Indian customs Smith became a son of chief and was given name Montakoum. At the same time, Sir Edwin tries to convinced captain to believe that Smith is a betrayer.
In the other hand, Smith knows what he should do. He sent the letter to captain, he explain everything about what happened to him. The letter and medicine can not reach to captain; but it is belong to Sir Edwin. Sir Edwin throws the medicine away and kept the letter away from everyone also.
Because of that, John Smith was under arrest as a betrayer. But Pocahontas was help him by told the truth to captain. Sir Edwin was angry so he ask Prince to join him to fight with John Smith and Prince Kocoum will get a gun in return. They capture Princes Pocahontas as a hostage, killed the chief wife, and sent the little prince to John Smith. Smith can help Pocahontas safely, but he killed two Indians which it going to be a war by the chief demand. Princes Pocahontas came and dare to use the custom about the truth tested with Prince Kocoum, and she won. Prince Kocoum was killed by the chief. The chief abandon the war but Smith has to be killing because he killed two brave Indians. Pocahontas begged her father to let him alive, she will do anything to let him live. So, the chief demand him to be onboard departure back to England. John Smith had had to leave Pocahontas instead to being together as they want.
